When we wanted answers about the ‘last mile’, some of these carriers would go to ground, hoping we’d give up waiting on hold or that the freight would turn up tomorrow. Sound familiar?


And then there were the annual price rises, weekly account fees and ‘miscellaneous charges’...we’ve heard it all before …

Initially we brokered freight deals for customers but over time we found that wasn’t always good enough.

 

Our promise of an express freight delivery service was sometimes on a ‘knife edge’.

 

So we aligned our business with territory/service Agent Specialists and started buying our own vehicles and putting freight through our Shareholder’s and Linehaulier’s transport businesses and forged local alliances with smaller dependable carriers for greater control.


Collecting and delivering freight in our own vehicles resulted in us employing fast and efficient means of Supply Chain Visibility (SCV) with near real time scanning in our vehicles.

 

And our SCV is supported by Customer Service that our customers continually praise. Our proactive approach to customer data interrogation, immediate discrepancy resolution and communication is what our customers want.

 

The value we add reduces both the “invisible” internal soft costs and the hard rate costs within our customers’ organisations and is a distinct point of difference on which we have built our business.
